Laying the Foundation for Optimal Health

Chiropractic care is like building a house- the most important is to have a strong foundation. Your spine protects your spinal cord and nervous system. When you have uneven pressure due to posture, injuries from a car accident or sporting event your nervous system sends pain signals to protect you from further injuring yourself. Unfortunately, the quick fix has become medications instead of restoring the alignment and removing irritating stress from the spine. When a nerve is being choked, you will experience headaches, neck and back pain, poor digestion and have chronic inflammation. Your body has to go through an inspection to discover what the root cause of your problem is and a properly outlined treatment plan for optimal success. There are 3 phases of Chiropractic care.

Relief Care (Red Phase)- Identifying what caused your symptoms and figuring you how to decrease suffering is what you can expect during this phase. Proper pain-relieving treatment with therapies and precise adjustments can help pull you out of the red. This phase typically can last 4-8 weeks.

Corrective/Restorative Care (Yellow phase)- There are 9 ligaments that support one vertebra to the next. Often times ligaments can take up to a full year to heal and if there is a chronic issue, you can be sure that more than one ligament has damage. During this corrective phase, your spine and surrounding muscles will gain strength and flexibility. This phase depends on how much effort you put into your care and can last 3-6 months.

Wellness Care (Green phase)- Once your body is moving well, your nutrition has improved and your pain and inflammation are gone, you are in the green phase! It is so important to maintain your Chiropractic care to prevent relapses from occurring. This is where we hope all of our practice members want to be and we will continue to strive to educate our community on the benefits of having a healthy spine.
